Who am I? (Ukraine - Estonia)

How do we become who we are, and how do our past experiences and memories reflect in our present day? Have you ever thought about how the lives of our parents, grandparents, and other ancestors influence us? Will their sense of nationhood and values be passed on to us?

Merle Karusoo’s new “Who am I?” project, gives a voice to veterans of the war in Ukraine, whose lives have been changed forever by the unjustified cruelty of a foreign state. This June, the production team will spend two weeks in Ukraine to interview war veterans. The project will premiere at this year’s Vabaduse Festival.

The production is brought to the stage by Theatre R.A.A.A.M. and the Rivne Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre.
